My name is Sue Madex – waving a hi. Thanks for visiting my little patch of the crafting blog world and I hope you find lots of helpful information and creative inspiration. An extra special hello to any new crafters keen to try a new hobby but not sure where to start.
The world of crafts brings such a lot of joy into the day (or the night if you’re a night owl like me.)
A few little snippets about me ….
Family: My husband John and our two adult children Hannah and Jack all live in Avondale Heights (in Melbourne, Australia.) My kids know their way around the craft supplies and know that my favourite birthday gift is a handmade card with a heartfelt message. I was rather chuffed that Jack showed John how to cut a ‘happy birthday’ greeting with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine for a recent birthday so he joined in the non shop bought card club!
Day job: I work part time as a primary school teacher. My current role involves lots of maths planning, coaching and mentoring. When I’m not designing cards I love designing maths worksheets and games.
Crafts: Which are your favourite crafts? I love scrapbooking and card making, and anything that involves playing with gorgeous papers and colours. I sometimes think collecting craft supplies is another hobby all on its own. 😊
Stampin’ Up! Australia: It only took me until halfway through my first browse of the Stampin’ Up! catalogue in 2008 to decide to join as a demonstrator. It has been fun learning new techniques, making cards and scrapbook layouts and building up my supply stash, as well as sharing some craft inspiration with others. Plus of course meeting a heap of fellow craft lovers along the way.
