Bird Card: Pastel

Hello hello.  Hope your week is off to a great start.  I had a lovely day at Milleara Market yesterday.  In between chatting with people I managed to make about 15 cards so will have a few things to show in this patch of blogland over the coming weeks.  Congratulations to Betty who won the stamp set and gift cards, and thanks to all the people who purchased craft packs for our fundraiser (more on that later.)

Time for a card.  Here’s what I came up with combining the Two Step Bird Punch, some pastel coloured products and Tea Party DSP (patterned paper.)

Here’s a sneak peek at one of the projects we’re doing in class this month – a battery operated tea light all dolled up, with a coordinating little gift card.

Brrrr – it has been chilly here.  Always a good excuse to tuck up in front of the fire with a good book and that is just what the kids and I have been doing.  I think this is the third time we’ve read the Faraway Tree books by Enid Blyton – we all enjoy this classic so much, and it brings me back to my childhood. 

Reading about Moonface and his love of toffee brought back memories of when I was a kid and mum would make toffee.  Hannah and I googled til we found a recipe that matched what we had in our pantry and we made our first batch. 

Funny how tastes and smells can whiz you back a few decades isn’t it.
