Butterfly Card and Craftexpo
Hello again,
Time to get some more cards on this blog isn’t it! Here’s the butterfly cards that were my second project at the Make and Take stand in the Melbourne Show Craft Hub.
These were so quick and easy to put together. Just run the Marina Mist through the Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Then the Beautiful Wings Embosslit cut and embossed the gorgeous butterflies.
This is a great little embosslit for using up small leftover bits of cardstock as it is about 6 x 5 cm in size. Arranging our arrays of butterflies was the part that took us all the longest. A glue stick makes sticking them down easy, with of course some dimensional foam tabs for the big butterfly – I can’t seem to make a card without using these handy little hexagon tabs.
Now if you’d like to catch some Craft Show fun then you have another chance next week. Craft Expo is on at the Royal Exhibition Buildings in Carlton from Thursday October 7th to Sunday October 10th and you’ll find me and some of my stamping buddies at the Stampin’ Up stand. (I’ll be there Friday and Sunday, come say hello if you’re at the show.) The display posters the girls have made have started arriving at my place ready for set up day and they look fabulous. We’ll have lots of inspiration for you at our stand with great displays and demonstrations of tools, products and techniques all day. Hope to see you there.
Some School Holiday Fun …
Couple more pics before I sign off for today. I got this nifty idea from my fellow kinder mum Jade. Bamboo sticks, toothpicks, a bag of marshmallows = building, designing, lots of fun and a yummy treat at the end when we eat some of our construction materials! Here’s Jack busy at work …
