Emboss Resist Christmas Card

Must be more than about time for a card here I think!  Took this photo on my lovely clean desk – aaah.  (Just can’t look at the great big pile on the table still to sort!)

This was one of the cards we did last month at class, along with a coordinating box and purse. 

The feature panel is emboss resist.  Snowflake Soiree is the stamp set and I’ve sponged Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and a touch of Night Of Navy inks over the embossed images.  Used my Simply Scored to score at 5.25 and 10.5cm for a z fold card. I used the Snow Flurry die to cut the silver glimmer paper snowflake for the front and a vintage faceted button to finish.  (Stuck on with a glue dot – they’re so handy.)

The inside panel is shimmery white cardstock and the Northern Flurry folder. 

Tip: Positioned the embossing folder so it just embossed part of the white layers so that there was still a nice flat space to write on.

Coming to class this month? I can show you my new improved tidy study (as long as you don’t look at the messy mountain that will no doubt still be on our spare table!)
