Flourishing Phrases in Sweet Sugarplum
Today’s card was inspired by this Mary Fish creation. The large flourish from the Flourish Thinlits makes such a stunning feature on a card.
Tips and Techniques: The pearls make a nice finishing touch. I’ve cut a window in the Sweet Sugarplum cardstock using one of the circle thinlits. The greeting from Flourishing Phrases fits nicely inside. (The colour is not quite as vivid in real life as it looks here but is a little softer. My computer is not quite cooperating today with the colour on this one.) I’ve used Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake for the base and Blushing Bride for the flourishes.
Have a wonderful weekend. My sister and I are escorting the kids this weekend to do a lap of a nearby walking trail and hunt some Pokemons. They finally nagged me into approving the app, subject to a few ‘mum rules’ – first one being “No walking while looking at your screen. Stop (not in the middle of a path) THEN check.” The app was a good prompt for a bit of a chat about online security and being careful about identifying information. I love the website Common Sense Media for doing a bit of checking into the latest apps (or movies or what not.) They had some good safety tips for Pokemon Go. I do like an app that encourages kids (and the rest of us) to get out and about and do some walking. Happy hunting!
