Little Colouring Cards

I had such a lot of fun last month at the colouring classes I held at my place.  Everyone had a chance to try aquapainters, blender pens, pastels, watercolour crayons and other bits and pieces.  For this class everyone chose their own colours.  It made for a busy evening of cardstock slicing but I just loved seeing all the different designs people came up with.  A big hi to all the girls who came along!

I quite like this simple little butterfly card.  Our watercolour paper is so nice to work with.  Grab an aquapainter and some watercolour crayons and you immediately feel like an artist!  And believe me, it is so easy to get a nice result.  I especially love doing the colour washes for the background. 

The Recipe:

Stamp Set: Natural Beauty (Thanks again Lisa!)  Cardstock: Brocade Blue and Perfect Plum

Ink: Black Stazon  Accessories: Watercolour Crayons (Brocade Blue, Perfect Plum and Always Artichoke), a tiny piece of Brocade Blue wide grosgrain ribbon (pg 146) and some paper piercing using my mat pack (pg 145) to add a finishing touch.

The Recipe

My card was done using Bold Brights Watercolour Crayons and an aquapainter. I’ve used Tempting Turquoise and Real Red, plus of course some of the lovely watercolour paper.  The flower is from Natural Beauty (pg 84) – thanks to my sister for lending me this set for the class.  Much appreciated Lisa!
