Sponged Rainbow Background: Hardwood Stamp

While I was in a colourful mood recently I made this card.  On the last of my wooden lettering stash – they’ve now sold out.  I’ll miss these.

Tips and Technique:  To make the colourful background I just sponged the inks directly onto the Hardwood stamp.  It was a little tricky to see what was going where but it turned out quite snazzy.  Once I had it all inked up I stamped it onto my cardstock, then stamped again onto another piece for a softer look.  (I’ll share that card another day.)  While I was busy sponging I thought I’d add some to my wooden letters.  Rub with paper towel afterwards to remove any excess and give it a bit of a polish.  The vellum worked well as a base so that the greeting stood out.
