Stampin’ Up Convention 2015: Gold Coast
What a fun 5 days on the Gold Coast at the Stampin’ Up InspireCreateShare2015 event. Thought you might like to see a few highlights. Stamping friends, brand new products, a cool 80s band, horses, tons of rain, tons of laughs – convention had it all.
One of the very exciting bits – got our hands on the BRAND new catalogue. My boxes are about to arrive – they’re at the post office as we speak. So if you’d like your own copy, get in touch and I’ll get one to you.
Time for the wrap up. Wednesday was a special day for leaders. An afternoon of classes then off on the bus to Outback Spectacular for dinner and a show. Fun! Lots of rewards from Stampin’ Up for working consistently. (And for having fabulous customers like mine. Wink!)
Our head office staff got into the action here in a ride on mower race. That’s Aaron who heads things up in Australia, Shannon West – Curriculum Developer and Trainer, and Rich Jutkins – Stampin’ Up President. Dave’s mower wasn’t cooperating!

There was also a recognition room for people who’d achieved particular things. Nice place to visit!
Thursday, Friday and Saturday were filled with classes, product presentations and lots more fun.

Speaking of stages, this year I got to do a presentation on stage as part of the In A Nutshell class. I spoke for 10 minutes about all the fabulous fun of catalogue launches. All miked up ready to go ….

Cake – let’s finish up on cake. Quite topical in our house as I also came home with a book that is inspiring me to eat a bit less sugar. Kids are not rapt with this idea!
Jack (8) on the way home from school today: Are you sure you don’t just eat all the sugar things in the pantry while we’re at school? And then we get home and you’re all “Let’s eat healthy folks. I’m serious. This is not a drill.”
Ha ha. He does make me laugh that kid. Was nice to be away, but nice to get home to John and the kids too. They had a great time. Actually that’s all I’ve been hearing about all week. “Dad makes nicer lunches than you do. Dad took us to Fergusson Plarre after school. Dad empties the dishwasher HIMSELF you know.” 🙂 Gotta love it.
