Chain Card: Gears Masculine Card

We are back again for Chain G. This is where a group of ten of us played Card Swap Chain, each creator started a chain with a card and sent it to the next cardmaker. That person CASE’d (Copy And Selectively Edit) the card as they wished and sent it on to the next person artist. And so on until we’d all completed 10 rounds, with the final card closing the chain back at the original demonstrator. At the end we get to see how the designed evolved and share it via weekly blog hops.

Now if you follow along the hop I think I slightly sent this design off on a tangent. I’ve used Gears and Textures Bundle for this one but my feature segmented die cut was a bit subtle and you can’t really see that it is in 3 parts. I loved the gears sponged with ink and tiled for a tone on tone background. I cut the biggest gear from a scrap of DSP and the thanks is snipped from one of our ephemera packs. I sponged some ribbon to match my background and some sequins to finish.

I was reallyl happy with how this one turned out. Had some leftover bits so I popped another segmented gear onto the inside of the card.

Keen to see how this card evolved? Hmmm did I take it off track? Our next stop on the hop is the talented Heather – you can see her card here.
