Card Swap Chain Blog Hop: Valley In Bloom Card

I was excited to fill a last minute spot in Series 6 of a Card Swap Chain organised by some craft friends. It is a papercraft version of Chinese Whispers. The first person in the chain designs a card and posts it to the next person. They CASE it (Copy and Selectively Edit) and post their version to the next person and so on until after 10 postings the card arrives back with the original creator. Once we’re all done we do a blog hop. It is fun to see the card evolve over the rounds. I really enjoyed taking part in this series. This is the first of the blog hops and we’ll be back once a week for the next ten weeks. Welcome aboard if you’re doing a lap – here’s my card.

My card was 4th in the chain and I’ve featured the Valley In Bloom Suite. I always seem to make standard fold cards so I enjoyed trying this z fold card. The Valley In Bloom DSP is beautiful for the 3 panels. I’ve used the leaf die and background hatch pattern to cut some elements from the DSP plus the flowers sponged with some extra colour. I popped some of the very cute In Color Butterflies as a finishing touch.

To see all the cards in this chain you will find the links at the bottom of this post to hop along and see the changes from person to person.

Or continue on from here to the next stop which is a card by the talented Ros Davidson. Find her card here.
